Classic Beef Stroganoff

Classic Beef Stroganoff

  1. Heat oil. Add beef and cook until browned. Immediately place onto a plate.
    2 tbsp cooking oil, 600g beef strips
  2. Melt butter in pot and cook onion for one minute, then add mushrooms and cook until golden.
    3 tbsp butter, 1 sliced large onion, 300g sliced mushrooms
  3. Add flour and cook, stirring for one minute. Add stock powder while stirring, then fresh cream and mustard. Stir until incorporated. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low.
    2 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp Amapelepele Beef Stock, 2 cups fresh cream, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  4. Once it thickens, adjust Spice-O-Seasoning to taste.
  5. Add beef back in, simmer for one minute, then remove from stove.
