Caramelised Onion Gravy

Caramelised Onion Gravy

  1. Cook onion in oil and butter over moderately high heat, stirring frequently, until onion is softened and browned.
    1 tbsp cooking oil, 1 tbsp unsalted butter, 1 sliced big onion
  2. Add flour and cook, stirring for 1 minute.
    1½ tbsp flour
  3. Stir in water, Worcestershire sauce, BBQ Spice and pepper and simmer, stirring and scraping up brown bits, until gravy is slightly thickened (8-10 minutes).
    1¼ cups boiling water, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp Amapelepele BBQ Spice, ¼ tsp Amapelepele Black Pepper
  4. Add more Worcestershire sauce if desired.
