Ingredients
  • 2 cup raisins
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2 tsp Amapelepele Cinnamon Powder
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs (beaten)

    In a medium saucepan, combine raisins, sugar, water, butter, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cool completely. Pour into a large mixing bowl.2 cups raisins, 2 cups sugar, 2 cups water, ¾ cup butter, 2 tsp Amapelepele Cinnamon Powder, ½ tsp ground cloves

    Preheat oven to 180℃ and grease cake pan. In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp baking soda

    Whisk eggs into cooled spice mixture until combined. Add flour mixture in 3 batches, whisking well after each addition.2 eggs

    Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Leave to cool completely.

    For the Glaze: In a small bowl whisk together powdered sugar, water, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled cake.
