Ingredients
  • 1 kg beef fillet (cut into steaks)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Amapelepele BBQ Spice
Instructions

    Sprinkle BBQ Spice on both sides of steaks and rub into meat with your fingers.1 tsp Amapelepele BBQ Spice

    Melt butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.2 tbsp unsalted butter, 2 tbsp olive oil

    Add fillets and cook; 5 minutes on each side.

    For the mushroom sauce - chop the mushrooms and fry them in the butter until they are cooked. Add the cream.

    Combine corn flour and milk and stir together until smooth.

    To prevent lumps in the sauce, add small amounts of the milk and corn flour mix to it and stir gently with a wooden spoon. Allow the sauce to simmer and it will begin to thicken. Repeat this until the milk and corn flour mix has been used up.

    Add spice to taste and serve with the steaks.
