Tender African Hot Wings (Ababayo)


  • 8 Chicken drummets
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tablespoons AMAEPELEPELE Chicken Battering Powder
  • 1 tablespoon AMAEPELEPELE Chilli Powder
  • 300 ml oil for frying


Boil the drummets in lightly salted water for 15 Min or until the drummets are cooked through Beat the eggs in a bowl Mix the Chicken battering Powder and the chilli in another bowl Once the chicken drummets are cooked, coat each drummet with the egg than with the the Chicken battering mixture deep fry in the oil.

Serves 4 -8 | Can be served with fried chips, Mashed Potatoes or bread


Use our chilli powder in chakalalaka and any other hot dish you want to prepare The chicken battering can be used without chilli powder and is just as tasty.
